Barranco de Santos in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

The Barranco de Santos is dividing the center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In normal times there is no water in the barranco. On occasions, usually once a year after heavy rains there is a flood of water coming down from the mountains leaving a lot of destruction.

There are actually modern "cavemen" living in the ravine. These are usually unfortunate homeless vagrants who have made the caves their "home".
